Catherine Pozzo di Borgo
Yonobi is happy to introduce this unique artist to the Yonobi family - meet Catherine Pozzo di Borgo – Atelier Des Plantades.
Set in an enchanting place planted with olive trees and lavender, artist Catherine Pozzo di Borgo makes pottery in enameled stoneware looking for harmonies between forms and colors. Japanese pottery is her main source of inspiration. There are pieces is created with great simplicity and refinement, both in shapes and in enamels (these delicate crackles!), And others that are more 'raw' in the expression, which remind us of ancient times.
Catherine is a self-taught artist. She took courses with Paula Trabut (Pouygarens farm), Marie Drouot, Rémi Fontaine (Atelier des Arts et Techniques Ceramiques de Paris), Hector Mavridis (Thessaloniki) and the Japanese ceramist RizüTakahashi.
All the pieces are one of a kind. Catherine desire is that each object should be a source of everyday pleasure for the one who acquires it.
