Beautiful small pourers, perfect for serving soy-sauce, dips or other small sides.
The style of the ceramics is simple and yet rustic, a perfect example of the Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi (侘寂). A worldview centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".
The mugs are handmade by Japanese artist group Gallery Michi Nakaba. Besides making beautiful ceramics themselves, the gallery is also a ceramic school, teaching people how to throw and make their own ceramics. The gallery is based in Kyoto.
