Teabowl with lid
Beautiful one of a kind teabowl with matching lid handmade by Mineyuki Nakazato. Traditional in Japan when you serve tea for your guests, you will serve the tea bowl with a lid on and the guest can remove the lid themselves and after use, the lid for small snacks or cakes.
Mineyuki Nakazato is a Japanese ceramist born in 1961 as the eldest son of Gyokuhou kiln in Mikawachi, Nagasaki. He studied at Arita Industry High School and started creating ceramic works after graduation. He cares about handmade and hand-painted pieces and developed a distinctive style of porcelain with a soft and warm finish of earthenware. Classic with a modern twist is his style, also with functional shape and design.
