Yonobi believes in taking care of our world, and it's something which we try to do in all aspects of our business.

We're driven by an idea of buying less - but better. That's why all the pieces you find in Yonobi are handmade by artists or small ceramic companies. The pieces are made with love, passion and with a respect for the craft. Generally, work done by hand takes less energy than a mass production assembly line, which makes it more environmentally sustainable.

We carefully select these well-made crafts, which all have unquestionable quality and will last for years to come. We carry mostly independent artists, and in this way, we aim to support the craftsmanship and artist community. A support we also carry out by arranging ceramic-fairs and markets where local artists can display and sell their crafts to the customers.

We love recycled/upcycle, handmade and well-designed home goods that are good for you and the environment. At YONOBI, you will also from time to time find beautiful vintage objects we have collected from our travels.

Furthermore, we try to use as much as possible of recycled materials in our daily store routines. This means that the package you receive from Yonobi may have old stamps and stickers on, cause it's already been traveling. In the same way, we use recycled wrapping paper for our gift-wrapping. These are all part of the small steps we take on the road of becoming a more sustainable company.

THE STUDIO

In our studio, we recycle all clay and glaze leftovers - and making sure that our waste is minimalized. At our courses we always recommend our students to put love and time into their pieces - so they will end up with a result that they can truly appreciate and cherish for years to come.
